A total of 300 individuals who had recovered from drug addiction graduated from its sixth training term. These people received vocational and technical training in Pul-e-Charkhi Vocational and Technical Training Center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. After completing four months of theoretical and practical training, they received certificates in various fields, such as tailoring, building electrical work, shoe making, bag making, and repair of household electrical appliances.

It is a matter of joy that today one of the most underprivileged segments of society, graduated and equipped with vocational and technical skills, as responsible individuals to society and their families. They will not be a burden on society and their families but will instead enter the labor market as skilled workers and take responsibility for earning a lawful livelihood for their families. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has been able to provide vocational and technical training opportunities to more than 10,500 recovered individuals not only in Kabul but also in other provinces. The ministry is committed to expanding this program both quantitatively and qualitatively to other parts of the country. The graduates shall use the best of their knowledge, experience, and expertise that they have acquired and to contribute to families and our society by earning a lawful income. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, added these remarks at the beginning of the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Qasimi, the Deputy Minister of Counter Narcotics of the Ministry of Interior for civil affairs, praised the activities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and spoke about efforts to prevent drug trafficking. He described the collection of addicts from cities, streets, villages, and remote areas, their treatment, and the provision of vocational training as a successful program that has benefited thousands of young people.

It is worth mentioning that the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Obaidullah Aminzada, along with other officials of the ministry, also attended in this graduation ceremony.
