The Regular Meeting of High Labor Council was Held
The regular meeting of the High Labor Council was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari. In this meeting, the deputy minister for labor affairs, the director of Rules and Working Conditions Improvement, the Director of Right Certifications, representatives of private sectors, social partners and official from relevant institutions. The meeting focused on employment, economic growth, protection of labor rights, and ensuring justice in the workplace.
In the opening of the meeting, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari highlighted the importance of the High Council of Labor and stated that job creation at the national level is the core pillar of national economic. He emphasized enhanced coordination among various sectors, expansion of the domestic production, increasing exports, identifying existing challenges, reducing reliance on low quality imported goods, implementation of international labor standards, regulation of labor market, and discussed workers wages, and its protection in details.
In order to reduce unemployment rate in the country and provide employment opportunities for citizens in various sectors, such as agriculture, livestock, forestry, mining, petroleum industry, and commerce a joint technical committee should be established in coordination with the ministries of Agriculture, Mines and Petroleum and Commerce and private sector. Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs further added in his remarks.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is committed to protecting the rights based on labor-related legislative documents and to providing necessary facilities to address the challenges faced by private sector. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai added in his remarks with the participants of the meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants of various sides agreed that the High Labor Council should continue and speed up its work through organized coordination and regular ongoing meeting
