Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs Visits Achin District in Nangarhar Province

The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, paid an official visit to Achin District of Nangarhar Province. The deputy minister attended and delivered a speech at a graduation ceremony for youths who had completed technical and vocational training programs.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Head of Labor and Social Affairs of Nangarhar Province, Mawlavi Faridullah Haqqani, welcomed the deputy minister and the accompanying delegation, stating that the Provincial Department is committed to providing technical and vocational training opportunities for youths across various districts of Nangarhar Province and equipping them with practical skills.

It is a matter of great pleasure that, together with my working team, I traveled from Kabul and came to Achin District of Nangarhar Province. In addition to meeting our people, participated in this gathering. Fortunately, 206 youths from the districts of Momandara, Nazyan, Kot, and Achin have graduated after completing both theoretical and practical training in mobile phone repairing and tailoring programs. Today, they received their graduation certificates and work equipment. Likewise, 100 impoverished youths were provided with opportunities to start small businesses and were assisted with the necessary materials so that they can practically begin their work. This initiative will reduce unemployment in the mentioned districts. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs added these remarks at the beginning of his speech.

The actions and activities of our partner organizations are commendable, I still call upon them to accelerate, expand, and make their activities nationwide, so that the number of beneficiaries increases and there is a noticeable improvement in the service delivery process. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is ready to provide them with the necessary facilities. If there are any issues in a particular area or province, they will be addressed through legal and principled channels, so that services reach deserving and needy citizens on time and wastage of resources and time is prevented. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs further added these remarks while appreciating the partner organization (Staso Ghag) activities and actions.

After that, the representative of the partner organization (Staso Ghag) Sabirullah Mimlawal, delivered in his brief speech, expressed gratitude of cooperation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. He assured that they will further expand their program and activities in the future.

It is worth noting that the General Director of Skills Development, Mawlavi Rahimullah Sarah; the Institute Director, Sharifullah Sharafat; and the Advisor to the Deputy Ministry of Labor Affairs, Mawlavi Mohammad Karim Hanafi, accompanied the deputy minister during this official visit to Nangrahar province.
