The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Meets with UNICEF Director of Child Protection

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, has met with Ms. Sheema SenGupta, UNICEF Child Protection Country Director, and her accompanying delegation at his office.
In order to coordinate and enhance the effectiveness of both national and international organizations that work for children, it is essential that all projects related to child protection should be designed and planned with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. This will pave the way to reach the most deserving people and regions throughout the country, and alongside supporting vulnerable children, their families should also be assisted. It will stop child labor and allow kids to go to school. These remarks were made by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, at the beginning of the meeting, and praised the UNICEF efforts for supporting children within the country.
After that, Ms. Sheema SenGupta, Country Director of the Child Protection Program of UNICEF in Afghanistan, thanked the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for its collaboration with UNICEF. She highlighted the importance of developing a clear and joint support strategy to better assist vulnerable Afghan children; it would lead us to a tangible result.
It is worth noting, in this meeting, Hafiz Mohammad Yousuf Amin, Director of Foreign Relations of MoLSA; Mr. Vidhisto, UNICEF Child Protection Officer for Asia; and Ms. Marie Silva, UNICEF Child Protection Officer for Afghanistan.
