A Capacity-building Program Launched in Parwan for Trainers

Alhaj Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, the Deputy Minister for Labor Affairs, while leading a delegation, visited Parwan Province. He participated in the inauguration of a capacity-building program for 100 specialized trainers. In this event, governmental officials from various provincial institutions also attended. First, the Governor of Parwan, Mufti Mohammad Idris, embarks on the program with his speech. In his remarks, he thanked the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs leadership for their efforts to create job opportunities for the youth. Vocational training programs are beneficial for youths to find a job or start their own business after completing the training programs. The Parwan Governor also called on national and international partners to support the people of Parwan Province by implementing these programs.

Following this, the Deputy Minister for Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlawi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, shared that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is committed to reduce unemployment rates across the country through the implementation of technical, vocational training, and other effective programs. He explained that the purpose of this visit to Parwan was to launch capacity-building programs for 100 specialized trainers in different sectors, such as food and dairy processing, tailoring, shoe-making, and bag production. Besides this, the MoLSA will provide short-term and long-term vocational and technical training programs for more than 600 people this year, This program is an initiative. We will provide further training to trainers and instructors in business management, employment techniques, financial training, and marketing strategies, Ahmadzai added.

Mawlawi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai also shared information on the progress made in deploying Afghan workers abroad. He called on the international community to collaborate with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in accepting Afghan Workers.

After that, a representative from the partnering organization shared comprehensive information about their activities. He thanked the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for their coordination and cooperation with the organization.

It is worth noting that during this visit, the Director of the Skills Development Department, Mawlavi Rahimullah Sarrah, the Director of the Labor Institute, Sharifullah Sharafat, the Director of Media and spokesperson of the MoLSA, Samiullah Ibrahimi, and the Deputy Minister's Advisor, Qari Mohammad Karim Hanafi, accompanied the Deputy Minister.
