Meeting of the High Commission for the Resolution of Labor-Related Disputes
Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, a meeting of the High Commission for the Resolution of Labor-Related Disputes was held. In this meeting, the deputy minister for labor affairs, officials from relevant institutions, representatives of labor unions, the private sector, and others participated.
During the meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on labor and employer relations in factories and companies, working conditions, wages, contracts, labor-related problems, and disputes. They also discussed a mechanism for resolving existing complaints in order to ensure the rights of all parties within the working environment.
Fair and legal resolution of disputes between workers and employers is of fundamental importance for social justice, labor stability, and economic growth. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is fully committed to protecting the rights of both sides. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs technical teams will practically follow up on the Commission’s decisions to ensure that the rights of workers and employers are protected in accordance with the principles of justice and fairness. The ministry is striving to establish a fair and a just working environment in our society. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, added his remarks.
During the meeting a number of labor-related issues were discussed. After reviewing the relevant documents, decisions were made, and necessary recommendations were shared with some institutions. The institutions should implement not only the decisions that were made during the meeting, but also all labor-related legislative documents within their working environments.
