At the Pul-e-Charkhi Vocational and Technical Training Center, 800 individuals who had recovered from drug addiction graduated after completing six months of practical and theoretical courses. It was the fifth round of the training program. The Pul-e-Charkhi Vocational and Training Center operates under the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. They received training in tailoring, construction, electricity, shoe-making, bag-making, and the repair of household electrical appliances.

We are gathered here today to celebrate the graduation of many of our compatriots from various vocational fields. These people were separated from their families and society, experiencing some of the hardest and most unforgettable days of their lives. Thanks to Allah, after being gathered, treated, and provided with training, they have now graduated. From today, they will be able to earn a lawful livelihood for their families and return to society as responsible individuals and skilled workers. The Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, added these remarks while speaking at the graduation of 800 graduates from vocational training centers.

The MoLSA offers vocational and training programs to recovered addicts. Today, they live peacefully and responsibly as part of society, and some of them are owners of their own works and businesses. This is a remarkable and historic step. We are committed to continuing this process and will use all available resources to support it. We ask you to remain dedicated to your professions, and also, we also ask your families to treat you decently.
