Addressing the problem of unemployment is our top priority
The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, during his official visit to Paktia province, attended and delivered a speech at the graduation ceremony of youths from technical and vocational training programs.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Provincial Directorate of the province, Qari Mohammad Rahim Nusrat, welcomed the guests. The directorate of the province shared information about the department’s activities, achievements and future plans. The provincial department has equipped and provided opportunities for young people in various professions.
In accordance with the special guidance of the honorable Amir al-Mauminin (may Allah protect him), and our responsibilities, we are working jointly with other relevant institutions to reduce unemployment in the country and create both direct and indirect job opportunities for many citizens. This is one of the top priorities of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, to take effective use of all available opportunities to achieve economic growth, stability, and self-reliance. It is a pleasure to once again attend the graduation of 160 young individuals who, over the past six months, completed training in various professions and have now become skilled workers. Due to the special attention of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the allocation of recruitment of trainees to Paktia province has increased, and after that 250 will enrolled for trainings. Efforts are ongoing to establish a similar training center in the province for individuals recovering from addiction, and to expand these vocational programs to districts through the development in various professions. The Deputy Minister of Labor Affairs, Alhaj Mawlavi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai added these remarks at the ceremony.
Later, tribal elder Haji Ghani Gul, in his brief remarks, expressed gratitude for the efforts and activities of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. He stated that the people of Paktia stand alongside and support the IEA. He also called on responsible authorities to pay attention to the establishment of an industrial park in the province, the reduction of telecommunication call costs, the expansion of institutional activities, and support for returnees. The Deputy Minister assured that these issues would be shared with relevant authorities at the central level.
At the end of the ceremony, the Deputy Minister and guests distributed graduation certificates to the graduates and wished them success in their future endeavors.
