MOLSA’s Deputy Minister meets with Mercy Corps Country Director

Din Muhammad Haqbeen Finance and Administrative Deputy of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs met with Stephen John Claborne, Mercy Corps Country Director in Afghanistan. At first, Mr. John Claborne presented information about his organization’s small and large former, Current and future projects and plans throughout Afghanistan. We have three different large projects in Kandahar and Herat provinces Currently, and we are determined to implement different projects worth $6 Million all over Afghanistan, Mr. John Claborne added. Beside of our appreciation from your organization’s assistance and attention to Afghan people and implementation of projects in the past, as we are a war-torn country then we suggest Mercy Corps to pay more and more attention to Afghanistan than any other country and gave priority to Afghan People, and we also request your organization to work here in Afghanistan according to the rules and principles of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Haqbeen added. I suggest your organization to lobby for Afghanistan and persuade other organizations and funders to invest and implement projects in Afghanistan, Mawlawi Haqbeen added, and Mr. John Claborne reciprocated to do so. Fortunately, we have security throughout Afghanistan, this is the best chance for investment and project implementation and to extend our service to the war devastated rural Areas and to cover all our countrymen there. We will further facilitate the work permit issuing process to every international organization especially to MC, speed up the process of agreement conclusion with your organization and to bring more and more facilities for organizations all over Afghanistan, Mawlawi Haqbeen vowed.
